The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
